Alex Sia MBBS, MBA, MMed, FAMS is the CEO of KK Women's and Children's Hospital and Professor (Regular Rank) at Duke NUS Medical School, Singapore. He practices obstetric anesthesia as a senior consultant at the hospital. He also holds the position of Clinical Professor at the Yong Loo Lin Medical School, and Adjunct Professor at the Engineering Design and Innovation Centre at the National University of Singapore. He has a special interest in designing and deploying interactive technology to enhance safety and reliability of anesthesia and analgesia. He has authored of more than 100 peer reviewed articles and book chapters, and has been granted 3 patents in this area of healthcare development.
